ELIGIBLE VEHICLES
In order to provide cost-efficient race trucks for entry level to your customers, the light race trucks LT4 need to be homologated. Only the Manufacturer is allowed to do so, but he can grant his right to one exclusive Tuner who works on his behalf.
All trucks per brand will be the same and each brand will be balanced by BOP in order to guarantee a well-balanced grid. Thus, following criteria apply to be eligible for homologation:
- Street-legal models (<3.5t) with min. units sold 400 per year and
- Type: Cabin-chassis with rear wheel drive and
- Diesel-engine with up to 6-cylinder and max. 3.000 ccm and
- Wheelbase: 3.400 bis 3.700 cm

It is the objective to provide cost-efficient race trucks for entry level to your customers. Required modifications for LT4 race homologation:
- Safety-installations according to FIA App. J – FIA roll-cage, safety belt, seat, fuel cell, net, fire extinguisher)
- Diesel filter
- Exterior package & exhaust system
- Race rims/ tires
- Data logger
SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY
Starting in 2021, the LT4 light race truck category will be open for future technology and alternative powertrains such as electric, gas, hydrogen. We understand that light trucks can be adpoted earlier with future technology (last mile, inncer city regulations etc.).
TIMELINE
- 2018: We welcome your interest in the LT4 Cup category.
- 2019/ Q1-2: Starting development, homologation, roll-out
- 2019/ Q3-4: Starting promotion & sales phase; Official test
- 2020: Start of race season with onsite customer support
